This site sets cookies only if you accept visit statistics, and they are Google Analytics cookies. Below: which ones, what they are for, how long they last and how to change your mind.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves in the visitor's browser, to remember something from one page to the next or from one visit to the next. For all cookies that are not strictly necessary to provide the service, the law — Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian data protection authority's guidelines of 10 June 2021 — requires the visitor's prior consent.
Without your consent: no cookies
Until you accept analytics, the site sets no cookies, neither ours nor third-party ones, and loads nothing from external services.
It only uses two technical storage areas of your browser, which are not cookies and never leave your device. In local storage, under «skb.consent», it remembers the choice you made in the banner, so as not to ask you on every page: it lasts 6 months. In session storage it remembers how far down the page you were, so that going back with the browser takes you there again: it is cleared when you close the tab. They only make the site work as you expect, and for this reason they do not require consent.
Only one cookie can be set without consent, and it only concerns people who work at Skill-box S.r.l.: the site sets it when an employee opens a reserved internal link. If you have not opened that link, it is not in your browser.

It is a cookie of the skill-box.com domain, and Chrome shortens its duration to 400 days. On its own it never leaves the browser: Google Tag Manager reads it only if analytics has been accepted, and then Google Analytics marks those visits as internal traffic.
With your consent: analytics cookies
If you accept, the site loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. Google Tag Manager sets no cookies of its own; Google Analytics sets these:

They are cookies of the skill-box.com domain. The duration is the one set by Google, and some browsers shorten it: Chrome, for example, caps it at 400 days.
We use no profiling or advertising cookies. The site tells Google that your consent covers analytics only and not advertising, and Google Signals is disabled: Google Analytics data is not used to show you ads.
How you give consent and change your mind
- On your first visit the banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. «Accept» and «Reject» carry the same weight, and browsing on without choosing does not count as consent.
- You can change your mind whenever you like with «Manage cookie preferences», at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics is no longer loaded and the «_ga» cookies are deleted from your browser.
- Your choice lasts 6 months. After that, or if this page changes in a way that concerns consent, the banner asks you again.
The provider, and where the data goes
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are provided by Google Ireland Limited, which processes the data on our behalf as a processor. The data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. No other third-party resources
Fonts, images, icons and videos are hosted on our own domain or on other Skill-box S.r.l. domains, not on external delivery networks. When a page loads a file from a third-party domain, that third party receives the visitor's IP address even without any cookie: here this only happens with Google, and only after your consent.
Links to our LinkedIn profiles take you to LinkedIn's website, which applies its own cookie rules: until you open them, LinkedIn receives nothing from this site.
What is recorded anyway
The server hosting the site notes the requests it receives in its logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser. These are not cookies and are not used to recognise you on later visits. They are the browsing data described in the privacy notice.
Managing cookies from your browser
Independently of this site, you can view, manage and delete the cookies already in your browser from its settings: the procedure is explained in the Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge help pages. If you block them all, the site still works.
